Using a quality cutting fluid makes a noticeable difference in both the cut and the break. By reducing surface tension in the glass, the fluid penetrates the score line quickly and promotes a clean, controlled separation with minimal chipping and better edge quality overall.

Cutting fluid also keeps the cutting wheel lubricated, reducing friction and extending wheel life — meaning less wear on your tools and more consistent performance over time. With proper lubrication, you can apply lighter cutting pressure, which is gentler on the glass surface and helps avoid unwanted damage along the score.
