These half sheets are all marked Curious because one side bears above-normal lehr markings (speckles of rust picked up naturally during annealing). See associated images.

But don't sweat. They aren't hard to manage. They can be mitigated by sandblasting, or using a 3M scrub pad. They can also be neutralized through various kilnforming techniques, such as sandwiching the marked side down with another opalescent sheet or covering any unwanted speckles with frit. The speckles may also dissipate when capped with a transparent color and fired. (Test first to confirm). And, of course, if you have an eye for natural beauty marks, you may even see how to incorporate the speckles into unique projects.
