ZYP Boron Nitride Aerosol Lubricoat

008714-PRMR-M-EACH

This ready-to-use boron nitride spray makes it simple to apply a thin, even, fast-drying dry-film coating to virtually any kiln surface — shelves, molds, mandrels, and more. The BN layer acts as a reliable release and barrier coating, preventing glass from sticking or reacting with your work surfaces, while its high thermal conductivity and low electrical conductivity make it well-suited to the demands of repeated firing cycles.

This item is only available for domestic ground delivery. It will be removed from your order for international, Hawaii, Alaska, or expedited / air delivery. It can be purchased in-person at Bullseye Glass Resource Centers.

Overview

A convenient aerosol-can for applying thin, uniform, quick-drying layers of Boron Nitride (BN) to Colour de Verre molds. Adds a dry-film-lubricant with low electrical conduction and high thermal conduction. Prevents reactions between materials and has superior release. Works well with casting molds, but may not be indicated for regular slumping molds. Once you prime a mold with ZYP, it cannot be un-done to go back to regular primer.
